How long have you been in business?
Barbara started her interior design business in 1998 and for over 15 years she has been helping homeowners transform their spaces to reflect their unique personality and lifestyle.
What is your primary product or service?
Whether it’s just one window treatment or a whole room makeover, our convenient in-home service takes the risk out of decorating on your own. We come to you…with talent creative design ideas, and samples of high quality furnishings you’ll love; for furniture, window treatments, shades and blinds, wall coverings, rugs, carpeting, and accessories.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Barbara has been decorating all her life and as a child had the “best decorated Barbie house in town”. Barbara followed her heart into interior design in 1998 after working as medical technologist for over 20 years. Since that time, she has established a successful interior design firm specializing in custom window treatments, fine furniture, bedding, shades, wall and floor coverings, accessories and the art of pulling it all together. Barbara has won numerous international as well as local interior design awards for her creative work. Many of her room and window treatment designs have been published in national and local magazines as well as two interior design books. She has also won top honors in Harrisburg Magazine’s Simply the Best Reader’s Poll every year since 2008.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We pride ourselves on providing friendly, professional service, and on meeting your design goals with furnishings that match your taste and that work within your timeline and budget. We eliminate the confusion and waste of time that most “do-it-yourselfers” face, and help you to avoid those expensive decorating mistakes that can result from impulse purchases in a retail store. Above all, we listen. We learn about you, your home, how you use it, and how it can be improved to meet your needs. We understand value for products, for home resale, and for family enjoyment. We believe that is why so much of our work comes from repeat clientele and referrals to their friends and family.
